BGCHarlem welcomed a new member into our family! On July 4th, 2021, Representative Charlie Rangel officially became an honorary board member in recognition of his work having helped bring the Boys and Girls Club organization to Harlem over 40 years ago.n

Former Congressman Rangel’s inspiring words reminded us of the importance of our work in 2021, and what it means to be a Black American on our country’s day of independence. His message of service was felt by everyone around as leaders from community organizations and city council joined in to help us reignite the fire as in-person programming resumes.
